Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to exchange Eid-ul-Fitr greetings with diplomats, academics, and citizens from across the country on Eid day.

The Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, confirmed that the gathering will take place at the state guest house, Jamuna, starting at 10:00 AM.

According to the Press Secretary, the Prime Minister will first offer his Eid prayers at the National Eidgah. Following the prayers, he will arrive at Jamuna at 10:00 AM to meet with members of the diplomatic corps.

Subsequently, he will exchange greetings with cabinet members, members of parliament, distinguished citizens, educators, religious scholars, artists, writers, and high-ranking government and private sector officials, as well as the general public.

Following the formal reception, the Prime Minister, accompanied by his family, will visit Shere-e-Bangla Nagar to offer prayers at the graves of President Shahid Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

This marks Tarique Rahman’s first Eid celebration in Bangladesh in eighteen years, having spent the previous 17 years in London. He returned to the country with his family on December 25 last year.

Following the 13th Parliamentary Elections held on February 12, in which the BNP secured nearly a two-thirds majority, he assumed office as Prime Minister.
