Seven bills were passed unanimously by voice vote in the National Parliament on Monday (April 6).

The passed legislation includes: Representation of the People Order, Election Commission Secretariat (Amendment) Bill, Electoral Roll (Amendment) Bill, Election Officials (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill, Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, National Parliament Secretariat (Interim Special Provisions) Repeal Bill, Bangladesh Law Officers (Amendment) Bill

Additionally, three other bills were introduced: the National Human Rights Commission Repeal Bill, the Supreme Court Judges Appointment Repeal Bill, and the Land Use Control and Agricultural Land Protection Bill.

These three bills will undergo further discussion due to "notes of dissent" filed by the opposition. Specifically, the Land Use Control and Agricultural Land Protection Bill, 2026, has been referred to a special committee for further scrutiny.

Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni stated that the bills were introduced now to allow opposition members more time for detailed analysis. Discussions on these matters are scheduled for tomorrow's session.
