Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has declared that his government is committed to implementing every provision of the "July Charter" through parliamentary approval.

Warning the public against misinformation, he urged citizens not to be misled by those attempting to create confusion regarding the charter and the results of the national referendum.

The Prime Minister made these remarks as the chief guest at a massive public rally organized by the District BNP at Jessore’s Eidgah Maidan on Monday (April 27).

The visit also marked the inauguration of the re-excavation of the Ulashi Canal and the construction of a 500-bed hospital building for Jessore Medical College.

Countering Misinformation
Addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman criticized political opponents, referring to them as "sellers of celestial tickets" who have grown frustrated by the public's mandate.

"The people have placed their trust in the BNP. This mandate is not to the liking of certain groups, which is why they are spreading propaganda labeling the BNP as fascist," the Prime Minister said.

"No matter the scale of the smear campaign, the people stand with the BNP. We will not allow anyone to disrupt public peace and order in the name of movement."

Development and Legacy
The Prime Minister highlighted that while Khaleda Zia had approved Jessore Medical College 20 years ago, the previous "fascist government" had stalled the project.

He emphasized that his administration is now prioritizing the completion of development works initiated by Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia.

Major Policy Announcements
During his speech, the Prime Minister outlined several key welfare initiatives aimed at farmers, women, and the youth:

Agriculture: Following the waiver of agricultural loans, the government plans to gradually free 1.2 million farmers from debt. The "Farmer Card" program is already underway to provide direct support.

Women’s Empowerment: "Family Cards" have been introduced, with a target to reach 10 million women. Additionally, "LPG Cards" will be provided to assist households.

Education: Education for girls will be made free up to the undergraduate level, supplemented by stipends for high-achieving students.

Employment & Sports: The government aims to reopen closed factories and expand overseas job opportunities. Furthermore, a program to develop professional athletes will begin on May 2, with initial honors set for 500 athletes.

Call for Unity
The Prime Minister concluded by seeking national support for nation-building efforts, asserting that a united populace is the key to Bangladesh’s progress.

The rally was presided over by District BNP President Advocate Syed Saberul Haque Sabu. Other notable speakers included BNP Vice Chairman Professor Nargis Begum, Health Minister Sardar Md.

Sakhawat Hossain, Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, and State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit.
