Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated a workshop organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Tuesday morning.

The event, titled "Transforming Higher Education in Bangladesh: A Roadmap for Sustainable Excellence," commenced at the Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bourse of the University of Dhaka.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the session as the Chief Guest at 10:00 AM.

The workshop is presided over by Professor Mamun, with Education Minister A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan and the Prime Minister's Education Advisor, Mahdi Amin, also in attendance.

This visit marks the Prime Minister's return to the University of Dhaka campus since December 27 last year, which took place just two days after his return to the country from the United Kingdom.

The ongoing workshop consists of five technical sessions. The closing ceremony is scheduled to be attended by Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor A.B.M. Obaidul Islam.

Other notable attendees at the concluding event include Professor A.B.M. Badruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET); Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University; and Professor Md. Akhtar Hossain Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the State University of Bangladesh.
