PM Condoles Casualties in Pakistan Train Bomb Attack

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed deep grief and sorrow over a horrific bomb attack on a shuttle train in Pakistan, which left at least 24 people dead and numerous others, including women and children, injured.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday (May 24), the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

He also expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh.

Strongly condemning all forms of terrorism and violence, the Prime Minister stated that Bangladesh stands firmly beside the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.

According to reports, the bomb attack targeted a train named the Jaffar Express in Quetta, the provincial capital of Pakistan's Balochistan, on Sunday (May 24) morning.

The explosion occurred shortly after the train commenced its journey from the cantonment area.

At least 82 people were injured in the attack, with the condition of several reported to be critical.
