The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the National Eidgah Maidan in Dhaka at 7:30 AM. President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman are scheduled to join the prayers.

Mohammad Abdus Salam, the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), shared the information on Monday (May 25) morning after inspecting the National Eidgah venue.

Should adverse weather conditions arise, the main Eid congregation will instead be shifted to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 AM.

Safety and Capacity Measures
The DSCC Administrator noted that the National Eidgah can accommodate approximately 35,000 devotees performing prayers simultaneously. To ensure the smooth movement of the faithful, four entrance gates and seven exit gates have been designated.

Comprehensive preparations regarding security, cleanliness, and overall management have already been finalized ahead of the congregation, he added.

Sacrificial Waste Removal
Addressing the management of sacrificial animal waste, the Administrator announced a strict timeline for cleanup operations:

8-Hour Deadline: All animal waste will be cleared within eight hours.

Public Cooperation: Citizens are urged to dispose of animal waste only at designated spots rather than throwing it into drains or open spaces, ensuring swift completion of the cleanup drive.
