PM to Attend Memorial Meeting for July Uprising Martyrs

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend a memorial meeting today as the chief guest to honor those killed during the July 2024 mass uprising.

The memorial meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday (July 4) at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Center) in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

The BNP Media Cell disclosed the information on Friday morning. The event is being jointly organized by the "July 24 Martyrs' Family Society" and "We Are July Warriors" to mark the second anniversary of "36 July."

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is also expected to attend a student rally at the Central Shaheed Minar on August 3 as the chief guest, marking the final day of a 9-day program commemorating the second anniversary of the July mass uprising.

The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, announced the schedule of programs on Thursday.

The series of events will commence on July 15 with a discussion meeting at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University and will conclude on August 3.
