Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman paid a courtesy call on Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu.
The meeting took place on Saturday evening, July 25, at the President's Office in the Maldives, according to a press release issued by the Maldivian President's Office.
The press release stated that President Muizzu warmly welcomed the Foreign Minister and expressed sincere gratitude for his visit to the Maldives as a special government guest for the 61st Independence Day celebrations.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, placing special emphasis on multilateral cooperation, educational opportunities, and people-to-people connectivity.
Highlighting the long-standing bilateral relations and friendship between the two nations, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and interest.
