Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has stated that ensuring quality education for every student in the country is one of the government's top priorities.

To achieve this, coordinated initiatives, effective supervision, and timely implementation of plans will continue in order to bring about qualitative changes at every level of the education system.

He made these remarks on Tuesday afternoon (July 28) while exchanging views with senior ministry officials, heads of various departments and agencies, and experienced field-level education officials during a visit to the Ministry of Education at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

KM Nazmul Haque, Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, stated that a detailed presentation was delivered during the meeting on the Ministry of Education's ongoing activities, various development projects, progress in implementing education policies, and administrative effectiveness.

The Prime Minister reviewed these activities and provided necessary directives to the concerned officials.

He noted that the meeting placed special emphasis on enhancing the quality of education, ensuring students' regular attendance in classrooms, effective teaching, modern and continuous training for teachers, expanding technology-based education, and further strengthening administrative accountability.

During the visit, the Prime Minister directly interacted with experienced education officials working at the field level. They shared their experiences and perspectives regarding the ground realities of the education sector, existing challenges, and steps needed to improve educational standards.

The Prime Minister listened to their remarks attentively and stressed the importance of giving due weight to field-level experiences and suggestions in policy-making and implementation.

Concluding his visit, the Prime Minister called upon the officers and employees of the Ministry of Education to work with dedication, professionalism, and a mindset of public service, while providing necessary directives for the overall development of the education system.
