Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that the "July Uprising Memorial Museum" is not only a reflection of the July mass uprising, but also of all democratic movements in Bangladesh. He stated that this museum will inspire future generations.

He made these remarks on Wednesday morning (August 5) at the inauguration ceremony of the July Memorial Museum.

The Prime Minister said that the July Memorial Museum will unmask the ousted fascists in front of the upcoming generation. He described the museum as a historic initiative to enshrine our struggle, sacrifice, and courage in national memory.

He noted that today is a landmark day for the country, and expressed his profound respect for all the martyrs.

He further stated that enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings had been normalized during the era of fascism.

Tarique Rahman added that history bears witness to the fact that the ousted fascist clique could never accept democratic governance in the country.
