LNG supply has resumed from the Summit LNG terminal. At 6:10 PM today, the terminal began supplying approximately 110 million cubic feet of gas.

In a press release issued on Friday evening (August 14), Summit stated that supply is expected to be gradually increased, reaching near full capacity of 550 million cubic feet of gas by around 2:00 AM on August 15.

The press release further noted that this gas supply will help increase availability for industries, power generation, and other consumers.

At the same time, it will support economic activities and play a role in easing pressure on the country's energy system, the company stated.

Summit LNG stated that it is committed to supplying the maximum amount of gas while maintaining safe and reliable operations within the technical capabilities of the terminal and the national gas transmission system.

The company believes that an adequate and uninterrupted energy supply is crucial for Bangladesh's industrial growth, employment, and economic development.

Summit also stated that it will continue to work closely with Petrobangla and the Government of Bangladesh to ensure the country's energy security and reduce gas shortages.
