
Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for the Inqilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, will be taken to Singapore via air ambulance this afternoon (Monday) for advanced medical treatment.
The decision was finalized during an urgent conference call on Sunday (December 14), following the directive of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Participants in the call included Cultural Advisor Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman (Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor for the Ministry of Health), Dr. Zafar (Specialist Physician at Evercare Hospital), and Omar Bin Hadi (Osman Hadi's brother).
For the past two days, the government has been contacting several hospitals in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia for Osman Hadi’s treatment.
The Chief Advisor was informed of the decision today, following consultations with the expert medical team at Evercare Hospital and discussions with family members.
Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor for the Ministry of Health, informed the Chief Advisor that Osman Hadi’s physical condition currently remains stable and unchanged.
Osman Hadi will be sent to Singapore this afternoon for specialized treatment. All necessary preparations, including the medical air ambulance, medical team, and travel arrangements, have already been completed for this purpose.
All arrangements for his treatment have been made at the Accident & Emergency Department of Singapore General Hospital.
All expenses related to Osman Hadi’s treatment will be borne by the state. The Chief Advisor has instructed the concerned parties to continuously monitor his treatment process.
The Chief Advisor has requested the prayers and well-wishes of the nation for Osman Hadi’s swift recovery.
