Legend Ayub Bachchu was buried beside his mother’s grave according to his will. After paying tributes by the fans he was laid to eternal rest at the graveyard of Chaitanna Goli in Chattogram city after holding the namaj-e-janaza after Asr prayers.
Thousands of people took part in the janaza held at the Jamiyatul Falah Mosque premises on Saturday. Khatib of the mosque Principal Maulana Syed Abu Taleb Mohammad Alauddin Al Kadri administered the namaj-e-janaza.
Earlier at Madarbari in Ayub Bachchu’s grandfather’s house son of the legendary singer, Ahnaf Tazwar said to the newsmen, please forgive my father if he did any misdeed unconsciously. Please pray for my father. May be my father could not give the utmost to you. My father loved people through his music. He gave endless love to you. He did a lot.
Leaders of different organization paid tributes to the body of Ayub Bachchu before the janaza. Thousands of fans, relatives and well wishers gathered there from the morning to see their beloved singer for the last time.
After 2:30 pm Ayub Bachchu’s body was taken to the Jamiyatul Falah Mosque premises. Book of mourn was opened there. People from all walks of life paid tributes to the singer.
Earlier in the morning Ayub Bachchu’s body was kept on the sand field of East Madarbari. Relatives, thousands of fans, audience and well wishers saw him for the last time.
His body was taken to Chattogram boarded on a US –Bangla flight at around 11 am on Saturday. 21 people were along with the body including Ayub Bachchu’s wife, son Ahnaf Tazwar and daughter Fairuz Safra.
According to the family source, Ayub Bachchu grew up in the Chattogram city though his home was at Kharna union under Patiya upazila. He lived at his grandfather’s house at Madarbari though they had homes at Firingi Bazar and Enayet Bazar.
On Friday legendary band singer Ayub Bachchu’s dead body was taken to the central Shaheed Minar for paying tributes from all sections of people. Except the janaza at national Eidgah two more namaj-e-janaza were held in Dhaka.
On Thursday at around 8:30 am Ayub Bachchu died of a sudden cardiac arrest. He was taken to the hospital at 9:15 am. At 9:55 am the physicians declared him dead.
