The fire that broke out in a building at Islambagh, Dhaka, has been brought under control by the Fire Service after about one and a half hours of efforts. The units present on-site are now working to fully extinguish the flames.
The fire was successfully controlled at 4:27 pm on Saturday, confirmed Anwarul Islam Dolon, an official from the Fire Service Media Cell.
The Fire Service control room reported that the fire was reported at 3:17 PM on Saturday. The first unit arrived at the scene at 3:25 pm, and later, a total of eight units, including two from Lalbagh Fire Station, two from Hazari Bagh, two from Polashi, and two from Siddik Bazar, joined efforts to manage the fire.
By 4:30 pm, the fire was under control, although it had not been fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unknown. Additionally, there have been no reports of any casualties.
