Fuel Discharge Underway from 6 Ships at Chattogram Port; 4 More En Route

Fuel discharge is currently underway from six vessels at the outer anchorage of Chattogram Port, according to Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbor and Marine).

He shared the update during a briefing held on Wednesday, March 11.

The Chattogram Port Authority further noted that four additional vessels carrying LPG, LNG, and fuel oil are currently en route to Bangladesh.

During the briefing, Commodore Abdullah specified that of the four inbound fuel tankers, one is expected to arrive today, while the remaining two are scheduled to enter port waters on March 12 and March 14, respectively.

He emphasized that all fuel-carrying vessels are being granted priority berthing facilities.

Additionally, comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of mother vessels at the outer anchorage.
