The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) assured the public that neither item contained explosive compounds or posed any risk to public safety.

Upon receiving reports from local residents, police forces, senior DMP leadership, and the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) division immediately rushed to both sites, establishing security perimeters and initiating standard precautionary protocols.

At the Mirpur-10 Metro Station, specialized bomb technicians analyzed an unattended bag using an X-ray scanner, which revealed a cylindrical container stored within.

Following established safety guidelines, the disposal crew utilized a frangible disruptor to disarm the potential threat before searching the interior.

The subsequent inspection showed the container held only zarda (chewing tobacco) and betel leaf, with no trace of dangerous materials.

In a parallel occurrence near the Farmgate metro structure within Tejgaon Police Station jurisdiction, security forces investigated a discarded sack that had aroused concern among pedestrians.

Once the perimeter was secured, bomb technicians performed a controlled manual check and verified that the sack held no volatile or hazardous items.

Commending the rapid intervention of its specialized teams, the DMP confirmed that both situations were addressed strictly according to operational safety standards.
