
Multiple crude bomb detonations and a bus arson across capital zones Friday afternoon through midnight wounded an autorickshaw driver, Dhaka Metropolitan Police reports.
Unidentified assailants triggered blasts across Jatrabari, Malibagh, Agargaon, Mohakhali, Babubazar, Moghbazar, and Rampura. In Jatrabari, explosions near the police station and Chaurasta police box around 7:45 to 8 pm injured twenty-six-year-old autorickshaw driver Ibadur Rahman, who received treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Earlier afternoon violence saw two crude bombs hurled from an overhead structure near the Shohagh Paribahan counter opposite Malibagh Railgate between 2:25 pm and 2:30 pm without causing injuries.
Additional evening detonations hit Agargaon near Betar Bhaban around 6 pm, the roadway beneath Mohakhali Flyover simultaneously, beneath Babubazar Bridge at 8 pm, and near the Moghbazar intersection Jame Mosque at 9:15 pm, leaving those spots injury-free.
Later night activity included two hand-bomb blasts opposite the main entrance of Bangladesh Television in Rampura around 11 pm, alongside a Mirpur Link Paribahan passenger bus ignition near Kafrul Police Station at 10:15 pm of undetermined origin.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Niaz Mehedi stated that bomb disposal units processed all locations and collected forensic samples, while local police stations and allied agencies pursue ongoing investigations.
