Results for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Thursday, October 29.
Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed the date on Saturday night (October 24).
"The date for publishing the HSC exam results has been finalized for October 29.
Detailed information, including the methods for checking results, will be officially announced on October 26," Professor Akhtaruzzaman stated.
Earlier, the education boards had submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Education requesting permission to release the results between October 25 and October 29.
The ministry subsequently approved October 29 for the nationwide publication.
The HSC and equivalent examinations began across the country on July 2 under nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, and the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board.
Although scheduled to conclude by August 8, the completion of examinations in several boards—including the Chittagong Board—was delayed due to severe flooding.
A total of 1,270,583 candidates sat for the examinations across 11 boards for HSC, Alim, HSC (BM/BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma-in-Commerce qualifications.
The exams were administered across 2,697 centers involving 9,439 educational institutions.
This year, examinations under the nine general education boards were conducted using a unified set of question papers.
The written exams for the 2026 session concluded on August 8, followed by practical examinations which were completed by August 15.
