A charity concert titled "Echoes of Revolution" was organized by a platform named "Spirits of July" to support the families of those killed and injured in the student-led protests of July-August. The event's main attraction was the legendary South Asian singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The Pakistani artist performed on Dhaka's stage without any remuneration.
On Saturday (December 21), around 10 pm, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to the stage at the Army Stadium, where the audience warmly welcomed him. As soon as he stepped onto the stage, he addressed the crowd in Bangla, saying, "Assalamu Alaikum, Bangladesh, I love you."
After exchanging greetings with the massive crowd at the Army Stadium, he began with the song "Tu Na Jaane Aas Paas Hai Khuda." He then performed his popular songs one after another. The stadium was packed with fans, who were mesmerized by his music. It seemed as though everyone was enchanted by his melodious tunes.
Alongside Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, popular local bands like Artcell, Chirkutt, Aftermath, and Silsila performed at the concert. Additionally, rap artists Shezan and Hannan entertained the audience with their performances.
It is worth mentioning that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's popularity is global. He is the son of Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. As the grandson of the legendary Qawwali artist Fateh Ali Khan, he was connected to music from an early age. Initially, he sang devotional Sufi songs as a Muslim artist. Later, he also started singing for Bollywood films.
His first Bengali song, "Tomari Naam Lekha," written by Bangladeshi lyricist Robiul Awal, earned him significant praise in Bangladesh.

Pori Moni’s Ex-Husband Dies in Tragic Truck Accident
Ismail Hossain Jamaddar (40), the first husband of Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni, was killed in a high-speed truck accident on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway. The incident occurred early Friday (November 22) at Pachchor in Shibchar, Madaripur.
Ismail, the son of bank officer Zakir Hossain Jamaddar from Chhoto Shaula village in Mirukhali Union of Mathbaria Upazila, was a father of two.
According to Ismail’s uncle, Kabir Jamaddar, he was traveling to Dhaka on a motorcycle with his friend Monir on Thursday night. Early in the morning, a speeding truck hit their motorcycle from behind on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway, leaving both Ismail and Monir critically injured.
Locals rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared Ismail dead. Monir received initial treatment and was later transferred to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Pangu Hospital) in Agargaon.
Abdullah Al Mamun, an assistant teacher at Bhagirathpur Secondary School, stated that after divorcing Pori Moni, Ismail remarried and is survived by his wife and two children.

The fact that the viral photo card of Dipti was purposefully spread was revealed in an investigative report by the fact-checking department of the national daily 'Ajker Patrika'.
In that fact-check report, through various information and data, the issue of Dipti Chowdhury's family and her family's involvement with the Liberation War was revealed. The report said that Dipti's grandfather's house is in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj. Her father's name is Shibli Chowdhury. Dipti Chowdhury's grandfather's name is Nurul Islam Chowdhury, he was the chairman of Adampur Union Parishad of Ashtagram, Kishoreganj. During the Liberation War, Nurul Islam Chowdhury was one of the organizers of the Liberation War.
Since Nurul Islam Chowdhury's sister did not have any children, Dipti Chowdhury's father Shibli Chowdhury grew up with her. Later, they moved to Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria with Shibli Chowdhury and started living there.
It is known that according to the information received, Shibli Chowdhury's two uncles (Nurul Islam Chowdhury's cousin) Qutub Uddin Chowdhury and Gias Uddin Chowdhury are government-certified freedom fighters. Among them, Qutub Uddin Chowdhury was an assistant teacher at Adampur Dewan Ali High School and is currently retired. Gias Uddin Chowdhury is deceased.
