As with every year, the silver screen is gearing up for an action-packed Eid-ul-Fitr with five major films set to hit theaters.
Each project boasts a unique storyline, and all five have now received official clearance for public exhibition from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board.
The most anticipated among them is "Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka," starring megastar Shakib Khan.
Having received the green light from the certification board, the film is now in its final stages of preparation for a massive holiday release.
Directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud and produced by Shirin Sultana, "Prince" has a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes.
The director took to social media on Monday night to share the certification news, expressing his excitement. The film features Tasnia Farin and Jyotirmoyee in lead roles opposite Shakib Khan.
The Full Eid Lineup
In addition to "Prince," four other films have secured their release clearances, as confirmed by Md. Moinuddin, Deputy Director of the Film Certification Board, on Monday.
The confirmed titles for the Eid festival are:
- Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka
- Dum (Breath)
- Rakkhosh (The Monster)
- Banalata Express
- Pressure Cooker
With each film belonging to a different genre, buzz is already building among cinephiles. Industry insiders expect a high-voltage competition at the box office this festive season.
