Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain on Saturday announced that the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha leave for all doctors and nurses engaged in the treatment of measles patients and emergency healthcare services has been officially cancelled.

The health minister made the declaration while speaking to journalists following an official event hosted at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare inside the Secretariat this afternoon.

The sudden restriction on leave comes as the government moves to ensure uninterrupted emergency operations and combat the ongoing spike in measles cases nationwide during the extended festival holiday.
