Israeli Attacks in Lebanon Claim Over 2,000 Lives
The death toll from Israeli attacks in Lebanon has risen to over 2,000. Among the deceased are 127 children and 261 women. These fatalities have occurred since the Israeli strikes began in October 2023.
Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera reported the figures, citing Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, Israel has launched airstrikes targeting Hezbollah in various parts of Lebanon. According to a BBC report on Friday (October 4), a massive explosion occurred outside Beirut Airport following Israeli bombings. The exact target of the strikes remains unclear.
However, the Dahieh area near the airport is known to be a stronghold of Hezbollah, leading to speculation that Hezbollah was the intended target of the attacks.
In a separate report, Lebanon's military confirmed that two Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon during attacks aimed at Hezbollah. Israel has ordered the evacuation of 20 more towns and villages in Lebanon. A statement from the Israeli military claimed their forces killed Hezbollah fighters near the border.
According to local authorities, over 1.2 million people in Lebanon have been displaced due to Israeli attacks and other assaults targeting Hezbollah over the past two weeks.
