Nearly 24 hours after two Iranian drones struck a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, authorities were still battling the massive blaze late Thursday night.
Military analysts noted that even a limited number of drones—just one or two—can cause catastrophic damage when they successfully bypass sophisticated air defense systems to hit critical infrastructure.
Escalation Across the GCC
In the last few hours, reports have emerged of further Iranian strikes targeting several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, including Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bahrain: The Ministry of Interior confirmed that Civil Defense teams successfully extinguished a fire at a facility in the Muharraq area. No casualties were reported in the incident.
United Arab Emirates: Air raid sirens were heard across parts of the UAE as the country remained on high alert following detected threats.
Saudi Arabia: Riyadh announced that its defense forces intercepted more than 10 drone attacks over the Eastern Province. This strategic region houses the majority of Saudi Arabia’s primary oil installations.
