The Israeli military has issued an urgent evacuation order for residents of five villages in southern Lebanon on Friday, signaling imminent strikes against Hezbollah despite a standing ceasefire agreement.

In a statement posted on X, the military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, accused Hezbollah of breaching the existing truce.

"In light of the terrorist Hezbollah's violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Defence Army is compelled to act against it forcefully," Adraee stated.

The evacuation warning targets five specific villages located near the coastal city of Tyre. Residents were instructed to leave their homes immediately to ensure their safety.

"For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and stay away from the villages and towns by a distance of no less than 1,000 metres," the spokesperson added.

This latest military movement comes as a significant blow to the fragile truce intended to halt hostilities in the region.

The Israeli army maintains that its actions are a direct response to provocations, while the evacuation order suggests a heavy military operation is expected in the targeted areas.
