Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that the ongoing conflict with the United States can only be brought to an end after securing a militarily and strategically reliable, advantageous position. According to him, the right time to sit at the negotiating table arrives only after a strong foothold is established on the battlefield.

The Iranian Foreign Minister made these remarks during a diplomatic briefing in Tehran on Sunday, July 19, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Araghchi noted that any war typically concludes in one of two ways: through a complete military victory or via bilateral negotiations. However, he emphasized that the appropriate moment for dialogue comes only when reliable military and strategic successes have been achieved.

Highlighting Iran's current stance, he added that unnecessary risks cannot be taken with the lives of ordinary citizens or the future of the entire state. Any major decision must be made based on precise and comprehensive calculations.

Assessing the current situation, Araghchi acknowledged that while the ongoing conflict has caused certain losses, the nation has re-established itself as a major power on the international stage through this war and successfully demonstrated the capabilities of its overall state apparatus to the world.
