Iran has claimed that its forces destroyed 11 US warplanes and helicopters during a recent 15-day conflict with the United States.
A said by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the attacks also destroyed various other military installations and equipment, resulting in over a hundred US casualties.
However, the United States has not yet issued an immediate response to these claims.
According to the Anadolu Agency, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the IRGC, made the claims on Saturday, July 25, in an interview with the semi-official Tasnim News Agency. He stated that the attacks took place between July 8 and July 22.
Mohebbi claimed that the destroyed military hardware includes 17 reconnaissance and combat drones, eight of which were brand new.
Additionally, an F-15 fighter jet, a P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, a C-17 military transport plane, and eight aerial refueling aircraft stationed in fortified hangars were destroyed.
He stated that these aircraft were destroyed while on the ground at US military bases, though he did not specify which bases were targeted.
Mohebbi further claimed that Iranian attacks damaged or destroyed 9 command and control centers, 5 satellite communication systems, 6 Patriot air defense radars, 3 air and naval surveillance radars, 8 intelligence and early warning radars, 7 missile defense radars, 5 electronic positioning system (EPS) radars, 5 additional long-range radars, 2 air defense radars, a tactical radar complex, 6 missile hangars, 17 weapons depots, 12 fuel storage tanks, 3 logistics centers, 6 aircraft maintenance centers, 6 missile launch platforms, 4 HIMARS rocket launcher platforms, a fuel jetty, an unmanned watercraft storage facility, an intelligence center, 4 aircraft hangars, 4 helicopters, and 6 missile warehouses.
The IRGC spokesperson also asserted that more than 200 US service members were killed in Iranian retaliatory strikes following a US attack that he claimed violated a memorandum of understanding. He dismissed the casualty figures published by the US as "completely false."
He claimed that Iranian forces struck eight facilities housing US troops, destroying 20 shelters at one of the sites. Mohebbi stated that the number of injured US soldiers is "much higher" than the reported fatalities and called on Washington to grant journalists access to the attack sites to independently verify the actual extent of the casualties.
Mohebbi warned that the United Kingdom, any Gulf nation, or any other country assisting US military operations against Iran would become "legitimate targets" for Tehran.
He claimed that US B-1 bombers were recently operated from a British airbase, warning that if London continues to provide military assistance to Washington, the UK will also become a "certain and legitimate target."
He added that Iran has prepared specific military plans to handle all possible scenarios. At the same time, he cautioned Israel against resuming military operations, warning that if the war restarts, Tehran will bring about "severe consequences."
Mohebbi accused Israel of attempting to entangle the United States militarily in the region by providing President Donald Trump with fabricated intelligence to use American military might to achieve its own objectives.
He asserted that Israel knows very well what could happen if Tehran launches another military campaign against it.
