Seven Police Members Killed in Blast in Pakistan

At least seven police members were killed on Friday (March 13) when a powerful explosion targeted a patrolling police vehicle in Lakki Marwat, located in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to a report by Samaa TV citing local authorities, the blast occurred while the officers were conducting a routine patrol. The deceased include a Station House Officer (SHO) and six other personnel.

Details of the Incident
The District Police Officer (DPO) confirmed that the explosion was directed at the vehicle during its regular security duties. The blast was so powerful that it completely destroyed the vehicle, resulting in immediate casualties.

The authorities have released the names of the fallen officers:

  • SHO Sadar Azam
  • Constable Shah Bahram
  • Constable Shah Khalid
  • Constable Haji Muhammad
  • Constable Gulzada
  • Constable Sakhi Zada

Security agencies have launched a full-scale investigation into the nature of the explosion and are working to identify the perpetrators responsible for the attack.

Prime Minister's Condemnation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the "terrorist attack" and paid tribute to the martyred officers. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the recovery of those injured.
