Dhaka Court Reschedules Probe Report Submission to Dec 10 in ACC Case against Sheikh Hasina, 16 Others

A Dhaka court on Sunday rescheduled December 10 for submission of the investigation report in an Anti-Corruption Commission case implicating 17 individuals, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, over alleged irregularities, abuse of authority, and a BDT 309 crore state exchequer loss linked to the Meghna-Gomti Bridge toll collection contract.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Shahjahan Kabir issued the order after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) missed Sunday's submission deadline for the probe initiated on October 12, 2025.

Co-accused defendants comprise Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Obaidul Quader, Anisul Huq, MA Mannan, MAN Siddique, Md Faruq Jalil, Mohammad Shafiqul Karim, Md Firoz Iqbal, Ibne Alam Hasan, Md Aftab Hossain Khan, Md Abdus Salam, Munir Uz Zaman Chowdhury, Selina Chowdhury, and Ikram Iqbal.

Case records detail that Computer Network Systems Ltd (CNS) secured the five-year agreement in 2016 through a non-competitive single-source tender carrying a 17.75 percent toll revenue service charge, yielding disbursements exceeding BDT 489 crore—well above benchmark contract valuations.
