The violence in Gaza continues to escalate, with Israeli attacks intensifying daily and the death toll rising. In response and to express solidarity with the Palestinians, Dhaka North and South BNP have organized a protest rally in the capital today.
The rally will begin at 4 pm from BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan and will march through Shantinagar, Mouchak, and Moghbazar, ultimately concluding at Banglamotor.
By early afternoon, BNP leaders and supporters had started gathering in Nayapaltan. Many carried Palestinian flags, wore headbands, and held protest signs with messages like "Stop the Gaza massacre" and "Stand for Palestine, Against Barbarism."
In anticipation of the event, security around Nayapaltan has been tightened. Law enforcement officers are present, and intelligence personnel are monitoring the situation.
BNP has assured that the rally will be peaceful, with activists given clear instructions to follow the guidelines. Senior party leaders are expected to attend the protest, which is organized to condemn the ongoing violence against Palestinian civilians, including children.
