The political landscape has been highly volatile in recent days. Yesterday, reports surfaced suggesting the Chief Adviser intended to resign, though his special assistant, Foyez Ahmed Tayyab, has since confirmed Dr. Yunus is not stepping down.

Meanwhile, Salauddin Ahmed, a standing committee member of the BNP, stated that the party does not want Dr. Muhammad Yunus to resign from his position as Chief Adviser of the interim government. However, he added that if Dr. Yunus chooses not to stay, the public will find an alternative.

Separately, an emergency meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami's central executive council on Thursday saw the party's Amir call upon the Chief Adviser to convene an urgent all-party meeting.
