BNP Appoints Ruhul Kabir Rizvi as Acting Secretary General

Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, a standing committee member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and political adviser to the prime minister, has been named as the party's acting secretary general, according to an official statement issued on Thursday.

The press release stated that the appointment was executed pursuant to Article 7(kha)(6) of the BNP constitution, officially designating the standing committee member to take on the leadership role.

The nomination is effective immediately, the release added.
