The holy Jumatul Wida, marking the final Friday of the sacred month of Ramadan, is being observed across Bangladesh today (March 20) with profound solemnity and religious devotion.
As a day of significant spiritual importance, millions of Muslim devotees are gathering in mosques nationwide to mark the conclusion of the month of fasting.
The capital is set to host the country’s largest Jumatul Wida congregation at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, where thousands are expected to attend.
Similar large-scale Juma prayers are being organized at central and local mosques in every district, reflecting the deep religious fervor shared by the community.
During the proceedings, Khateebs and Islamic scholars will deliver special sermons (Khutbah) focusing on the immense significance of Jumatul Wida and the spiritual lessons of Ramadan.
These discussions traditionally emphasize the importance of charity, self-discipline, and the pursuit of righteousness.
The day’s observances will culminate in special supplications (Munajat), where devotees will pray for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Bangladesh.
Prayers will also be offered for the unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah globally, seeking divine blessings as the month of Ramadan draws to a close.
