Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto lost the toss in the second and final Test against Zimbabwe, with Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine opting to bat first. The match is being played at the Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (formerly Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium) and began at 10:00 am.
After a narrow three-wicket defeat in the first Test in Sylhet, Bangladesh trails 1-0 in the two-match series. To avoid a series loss, the Tigers must win this decisive Test in Chattogram.
