Bangladesh U-19 women’s football team, who already confirmed their spot in the final of the ongoing SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship 2026, will play their group-stage match against hosts Nepal tomorrow (Wednesday).

The match will kick off at 3:15 pm (BST) at the Pokhara Rangasala Stadium.

Following back-to-back dominant performances, the Women in Red and Green need only a draw against the home side to mathematically secure their spot in the championship match.

Bangladesh currently sit comfortably at the top of the table with 6 points from two matches and a massive +14 goal difference.

Their campaign began with a record-shattering 12-0 victory over Bhutan, followed by a clinical 2-0 win against arch-rivals India on Monday, where goals from skipper Arpita Biswas and Alpi Akter sealed the victory.

Meanwhile, hosts Nepal and India are locked in a battle for the second final spot, both holding three points.

Nepal currently hold the edge in the standings on goal difference after narrowly defeating Bhutan 2-1 in their previous outing.

The tournament features a single round-robin format among four nations, with the top two teams advancing to the final on February 7.

While Bangladesh is effectively qualified given their superior goal difference, a positive result tomorrow would maintain their perfect record heading into the title clash.

In the day's other fixture, India will face a winless Bhutan at 12 pm, a match that will heavily influence the final table standings before the evening's showdown between Bangladesh and Nepal.

On Tuesday, the Bangladesh team focused on physical and mental rejuvenation. They passed a comprehensive recovery day at their base in Pokhara, designed to ensure peak fitness ahead of their final group-stage clash against hosts Nepal.

The team’s post-match regimen included specialized recovery activities such as ice bath sessions to reduce muscle fatigue, followed by a light, scenic walk along Pokhara’s iconic lakeside in the morning.

This relaxed atmosphere provided a vital mental break for the squad, who currently sit at the top of the tournament standings.

Mahfuza Akter Kiron, Chairperson of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Committee for Women’s Football and AFC Executive Committee Member, expressed her pride in the team's trajectory.
