Baishakhi Sports Festival to Kick Off at Paltan Ground Tomorrow

The vibrant Baishakhi Sports Festival, organized to mark the Bengali New Year 1433, is set to take place at the Paltan Ground tomorrow (Tuesday).

The day-long event, organized by Moushumi Industries Limited, aims to celebrate and preserve the traditional rural sports of Bangladesh.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque is expected to inaugurate the festival as the chief guest.

The festival will feature a diverse lineup of heritage and competitive sports, including: Kabaddi and Kho Kho, Boli Khela (the renowned traditional wrestling from Chattogram), Lathi Khela (traditional stick fighting), Archery, Volleyball, and Sepak Takraw

Youth and Sports Ministry Secretary Mahbub-Ul-Alam will grace the closing ceremony as the chief guest to distribute prizes among the participants.
