The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted widespread precipitation across various parts of the country over the 24-hour period commencing at 9 am on Monday.

According to a weather bulletin released by the Met office this morning, "Light to moderate rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions."

The forecast further highlighted that isolated regions across the nation may experience moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall during this timeframe.

Driven by the rainy conditions, daytime temperatures are anticipated to decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius nationwide while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain largely steady.

Rain Forecast across Most Divisions as Temperatures Expected to Drop

Regarding temperature and precipitation records, Teknaf registered the highest rainfall in the country over the last 24 hours leading up to 6 am on this day, logging 145 millimeters.

Meanwhile, Mymensingh recorded the country's peak temperature on Sunday at 35.5 degrees Celsius, and Sylhet registered the lowest temperature today at 24.2 degrees Celsius.

In Dhaka, the sun is scheduled to set at 6:30 pm on this day and rise at 5:35 am on Tuesday.
