BNP to Hold Talks with Chief Adviser on Saturday Afternoon
The BNP has prepared to join the dialogue initiative taken by the interim government with political parties. A meeting between BNP leaders and Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will take place on Saturday at 2:30 PM at the state guesthouse, Jamuna.
This information was revealed on Thursday (October 3) in the afternoon from BNP party sources.
When asked about the matter, Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP’s media cell told, “The meeting between BNP leaders and the Chief Adviser will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday at the state guesthouse, Jamuna. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other party leaders will participate in the meeting.”
In a press briefing held on Wednesday evening at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said, “The Advisory Council will inform political parties about the progress of the commission's work. The advisers will exchange views with the political leaders on the law and order situation and seek their advice.”
He mentioned that the dialogue is an ongoing process, and the major political parties will be invited to participate. The Advisory Council will discuss with the political leaders, and it is expected that the reform commissions will submit their respective reports by December 31, after which the Advisory Council will again engage in discussions with the political parties.
