As many as 400 complaints have been filed in the commission that was formed to investigate the enforced disappearances during the previous Awami League government in 13 working days. Most of them are against RAB, DB, CTTC, and DGFI. There are also allegations of disappearances against law enforcement agencies.

Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury, President of the Commission on Enforced Disappearances, said that after visiting the discussed detention center 'Aynaghar', similarities were found with the description of the victims.

He revealed this information in a press conference on Thursday (October 3) morning regarding the activities of the Commission.

The joint interrogation cell (JIC), popularly known as 'Aynaghar', is located inside the DGFI headquarters. There are 22 cells in the two-story building.

Retired Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury said that important evidence has been deleted along with various changes in Aynaghar in the meantime. Many walls are painted. Along with that, there was evidence of the demolition of the room. However, no victims were found.

The members of the commission said that they have asked in writing to suspend all changes in the Aynaghar. The matter will be thoroughly investigated by summoning the accused. Action will be taken against those accused of disappearance cases.

Sajjad Hossain, a member of the Inquiry Commission said that the descriptions they received regarding the disappearance issues are largely missing. Several things have been changed, some have been broken.

Incidentally, the Commission will look into the disappearances between August 6, 2009, and August 5, 2024. They will then submit a report to the interim government by October 10.
