Despite his advanced age and significant physical frailty, the centenarian arrived at the station leaning on a walking stick and supported by family members, determined to exercise his right to vote in the 13th National Parliament Election and the concurrent constitutional Referendum early Thursday.
His family noted that while age-related illnesses have severely limited his mobility in recent years, his enthusiasm for this particular election remained unwavering.
His relatives shared that Hafizur had insisted on being brought to the center, fearing he would miss what he considers his most vital responsibility as a citizen.
His arrival sparked a wave of inspiration among fellow voters and election officials, who paused to witness the rare moment of historical continuity.
After casting his ballot, Hafizur expressed a deep sense of satisfaction, stating that he intends to continue fulfilling his duties for the country as long as he remains alive.
