A captivating photograph of Bangladesh Navy personnel performing their Eid-ul-Azha prayers aboard a ship floating at sea has touched the hearts of many across the country.
The photograph was officially posted on the Bangladesh Navy's verified Facebook page on Thursday morning with captions in both Bengali and English.
The image went viral on social media shortly after it was shared online.
The image captures navy personnel lined up in rows (Qatars) to perform their Eid prayers on the wide, open deck of a patrol ship while actively deployed on duty at sea.

Holy Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated aboard Bangladesh Navy ships and bases while carrying out duties in service of the nation at sea. Naval personnel shared the spirit and joy of Eid while remaining committed to their mission.

It is common for Bangladeshi mariners and commercial ship crew members deployed in international waters to also perform their Eid prayers under challenging and unique conditions at sea.
In such scenarios, special arrangements are made to hold the Eid prayers either on the ship's open deck or inside the navigation bridge.
When stationed in the deep sea, their Eid congregation and subsequent prayers (Munajat) are conducted in a highly disciplined manner, usually led by the ship's commander or a senior officer acting as the Imam.
However, the official social media post did not disclose specific details regarding the exact coordinates or which side of the maritime boundary the naval patrol vessel was operating in during the prayers.
