To mark July Mass Uprising Day 2026, the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat hosted an essay competition on Saturday at the North Plaza conference room within the Jatiya Sangsad Complex.

The event drew active participation from secondary and higher secondary students enrolled in Classes IX through XI across various schools and colleges in Dhaka.

Inaugurating the academic contest as chief guest, Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan extended a warm welcome to the young participants and appreciated their enthusiasm, highlighting the necessity of mastering Bengali language skills, precise grammatical rules, accurate sentence structure, and thoughtful vocabulary selection.

According to an official media release issued by the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, the secretary counseled students to approach their writing with composure and express their thoughts with clarity and simplicity rather than cluttering their essays with overly intricate phrasing.

Inspiring the youth to cultivate future leadership qualities, he remarked that students aspiring to serve as Members of Parliament or officers within the Parliament Secretariat ought to lay the foundation for their ambitions from an early age.

Furthermore, he stressed that striving for academic excellence must go hand in hand with building strong moral character and becoming good human beings.

The inauguration was attended by high-ranking officials from the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat alongside participating students and guests.
