Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a meeting with Gates Foundation Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Suzman here on Thursday.

The high-level meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s hotel residence in New York this morning (local time), according to Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque.

During the discussion, they deliberated on public health, child healthcare, vaccination, affordable vaccines, preventive healthcare, and the modernization of the health system.

They also exchanged views on expanding healthcare services at the upazila and district levels, the recruitment and training of 100,000 health workers, international employment opportunities for trained healthcare professionals and plans to construct an AI-integrated digital public healthcare system.
