The Election Commission (EC) is set to meet with the heads of various law enforcement and security agencies today, Sunday (January 11), to coordinate security operations ahead of the upcoming National Parliament Election and National Referendum.

The meeting will be presided over by Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah.

Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, along with representatives from relevant departments, divisions, and security forces, will be in attendance.

The schedule was confirmed in a notice issued on Saturday (January 10) by EC Deputy Secretary Md. Monir Hossain.

According to the notice, the coordination meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM in the conference room (Room No. 520) of the Election Commission Secretariat at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Key Attendees The meeting will include a high-powered delegation of security chiefs and officials, including:

• Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces
• Director Generals (DGs) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Coast Guard, Ansar & VDP, and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
• Inspector General of Police (IGP)
• Director Generals of National Security Intelligence (NSI) and Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI)
• Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC)

The discussion is expected to focus on maintaining law and order, ensuring a peaceful voting environment, and synchronizing the roles of the various forces during the electoral process.
