The ongoing first session of the National Parliament resumes today, Sunday (March 29), following a temporary adjournment. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM in the main assembly hall of the Parliament Building, presided over by the Speaker.

The first session of the 13th National Parliament officially commenced earlier this month on March 12.

According to sources within the Parliament Secretariat, the session was adjourned on March 15 until 3:00 PM today, after only two working days. Prior to the break, a general discussion had begun on the thanksgiving motion regarding the President's address. This discussion remains the primary focus of today’s agenda.

It has been decided that this inaugural session of the 13th Parliament will continue until April 30.

The Parliament Secretariat stated that members from both the treasury and opposition benches will engage in detailed deliberations on the President’s informative and directive speech. A total of approximately 50 hours has been allocated for the discussion on the thanksgiving motion.

Parliamentary sittings will regularly take place at 3:00 PM every day of the week, excluding public holidays.

This schedule was unanimously finalized during the first meeting of the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee on March 14, which was attended by the Leader of the House, the Leader of the Opposition, and other senior committee members.
