In response to the ongoing global energy crisis, the government has issued a fresh set of directives aimed at reducing fuel consumption across all ministries and departments.

Under the new guidelines, field-level officials are instructed to participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions via virtual platforms.

The Cabinet Division recently dispatched formal letters regarding this measure to the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, all senior secretaries and secretaries, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners (DCs), and upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs).

The letter emphasizes that given the current global energy landscape, it is essential to save fuel while ensuring that government operations remain uninterrupted and effective.

Key Directives:
Virtual Participation: All ministry and departmental programs, including meetings and training sessions, must ensure that field-level participants join remotely.

Tiered Virtual Integration: Participants from the district level must join divisional programs virtually, while upazila-level officials must connect to district-level programs via digital platforms.

Avoidance of Physical Meetings: Physical gatherings are to be avoided unless absolutely necessary, specifically to minimize the use of motor vehicle fuel.

The Cabinet Division has requested all relevant authorities to ensure strict compliance with these measures until further notice.
