Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated on Monday that the primary objective of the government is to deliver healthcare services swiftly to the doorsteps of the people and to raise awareness to keep the public healthy.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while laying the foundation stone for the long-awaited 500-bed Medical College Hospital in Jessore on Monday afternoon.

“If we want to move the country and the nation forward, building a healthy nation is essential. Development is not possible without a healthy population,” he said.

He further emphasized that public cooperation is vital in implementing the government’s development activities. “Through collective efforts, it will be possible to deliver healthcare easily to people's homes. Ensuring rapid access to health services is our expectation, our goal, and our future plan,” the Prime Minister added.

Several high-ranking officials attended the inauguration ceremony, including BNP Vice Chairman Professor Nargis Begum, Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad, State Minister for Power and Energy Anindya Islam Amit, and State Minister for Local Government Mir Shah Alam.
