A total of 43,019 Bangladeshi pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia via 108 flights to perform the holy Hajj. The figures were confirmed in the latest Hajj bulletin released on Sunday morning (May 3).

The report, compiled by the Hajj Help Desk using data from airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), and the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Dhaka and Saudi Arabia, provided a comprehensive update on the ongoing operations.

Health and Mortality Update
The bulletin sadly noted that seven pilgrims have passed away of natural causes to date—five in Makkah and two in Madinah.

Regarding medical assistance:

• The Saudi medical team has provided direct treatment to 9,175 pilgrims.
• An additional 9,730 pilgrims received health-related support through the IT help desk.

Flight and Agency Statistics
This year, a total of 78,500 Bangladeshis have been granted permission to perform Hajj, managed by 660 agencies (30 lead and 630 coordinating agencies).

The distribution of arrivals by airline is as follows:

Biman Bangladesh Airlines: 20,483 passengers (50 flights)

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia): 14,646 passengers (39 flights)

Flynas: 7,890 passengers (19 flights)

The first Hajj flight (BG3001) departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on April 17 with 419 pilgrims and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Visa and Management Status
The Saudi Embassy in Dhaka has successfully completed 100% of visa issuances, totaling 78,500 visas. This includes 4,565 pilgrims under government management and 73,935 under private management.

Subject to the sighting of the moon, the holy Hajj is expected to take place on May 26. Return flights are scheduled to begin from Jeddah on May 30, with the final return flight arriving in Dhaka on June 30.
