The much-anticipated July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum was officially inaugurated today (August 5) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, capital.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the museum at 9:00 AM by unveiling the commemorative plaque as the chief guest.

Following the inauguration, journalists were given the opportunity to tour the museum.

Minister for Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury stated that on opening day, the museum remained reserved for special guests and families of the martyrs.

He further added that starting tomorrow, Thursday (August 6), the museum will be opened to general visitors.

Established with the objective of preserving the memories of the July mass uprising and presenting that history to future generations, the museum features exhibitions of various movement-related photographs, documents, artifacts, and memorabilia.
