Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has initiated strict surveillance along the Jamalpur border to prevent any 'push-in' attempts or illegal infiltration from India into Bangladesh.
Additional vigilance and security measures have been heightened across the 72-kilometer border area covered by 15 Border Outposts (BOPs) under the Jamalpur 35 BGB Battalion. BGB personnel, alongside local residents, were seen intensifying patrols in the frontier areas.
BGB members are patrolling the border day and night.
They are working tirelessly to thwart any malicious activities, illegal infiltration, and specifically, potential push-in attempts.
Concurrently, the BGB is utilizing loudspeakers to run awareness campaigns, urging local residents not to cross or approach the border zero line.
So far, no new incidents of push-ins have been reported along the Jamalpur border.
Lieutenant Colonel Hasanur Rahman, Commanding Officer of the Jamalpur 35 BGB Battalion, stated that the BGB maintains a strict stance to counter push-in attempts along the Jamalpur border.
He noted that the cooperation of the local public has been secured to ensure airtight security, adding that no untoward incidents have occurred anywhere so far.
