Rangpur Metropolitan Police Detective Branch Deputy Commissioner Sonaton Chakroborty stated that arrested suspects Siddhartha Das and Mugdha Das were transferred Sunday night to the Criminal Investigation Department forensic facility in Dhaka for genetic sample collection.

Technicians will cross-reference the suspects' DNA against biological traces retrieved from the crime scene and victims, with investigators emphasizing that official conclusions await laboratory findings despite extensive preliminary physical evidence recovery.

The August 22 tragedy uncovered the bodies of former Rangpur Zilla School instructor Ganapati Chakraborty (65), wife Pritilata Chakraborty Bala (50), daughter Agami Chakraborty Prarthi (25) and son Ayush Chakraborty Priyam (12) inside a locked Machhuapara residence bearing fatal strangulation marks.

Police apprehended nineteen-year-old Siddhartha and twenty-three-year-old Mugdha from that locality the following day.

Judicial proceedings subsequently recorded Section 164 confessions from both suspects alongside court depositions submitted by witnesses Shimanto and Bidyut Das.
